I came from the streets of Orleans, IN...

I came from the streets of Orleans, IN.  I was probably pretty content there but my future mother didn't think so.  Each Summer area farmers, hobby farmers and local artists and musicians gather on Saturday mornings to sell fresh produce, home baked goodies and to just mingle about.   One day while my mother was visiting she noticed me.  But really, who wouldn't.  I'm beautiful!  See, my mother can spot a cat like a hawk soaring high above a mouse.  I think she has an extra sense....cat sense, radar or whatever.  I think she's just crazy...yep, the crazy cat lady.  She walked over to me and I looked up at her like.."yes?"  She picked me up, I didn't resist, she smelled OK.  She walked around the market holding me, petting my tiny paws and talking into my ear (which got pretty annoying). I heard her ask several of the vendors if they knew anything about me...where I live, how long I had been hanging around the market.  Nobody had seen me before that day.  In a quandary, my mother continued to hold me while she walked around the market, contemplating whether or not my future father would kill her dead if she brought me home.  But my mother....my compassionate, crazy mother, threw caution to the wind.  She looked down at me and asked me, "do you want to go home with me?"  I'm a pretty care free kitty so I agreed.  As we walked toward the car, me gently but firmly nestled in my mother's arms, I took one look back toward the square.  My mother whispered, "don't look back, you're going to have a good home."   So I decided to humor her.  We got in the car and she put me on her lap.  My mother loves music, in fact, she is a musician and she was blasting Huey Lewis and The News from the car's stereo.  So without needing to think, she told me that my name was going to be Huey.  The car ride home took about 20 minutes and I laid quietly in her lap, I think I took a nap.  And so there you have the story of how I was found.  I'm writing this blog because I know you'll want to keep up with my antics...I have a very full life.  It's full of love and full of crazy family and friends.  Come on the journey with me, won't you?
